Belize is Central American by geography and Caribbean by law — English-speaking, common-law, and long used as an offshore company jurisdiction. Most instructions we receive are either a registered agent in Belize City or an expatriate on Ambergris Caye or in Placencia.

Registered agents, and people who came here to be hard to find
The two halves of Belize work are almost opposites of one another.
The corporate half is orderly. A Belize City registered agent may hold a very large number of companies, so we need the exact registered name and, if you have it, the company number. Tell us whether the document is for the entity or for a named officer, and in what capacity. Those entities usually have no premises and no staff of their own — the agent’s office is the whole of the presence.
The residential half is not orderly at all. A sizeable part of our Belize work concerns people who moved here precisely because they did not want to be found: an address on Ambergris Caye that is a rental, a name that is used socially but is not the name on your complaint, a business that has quietly changed hands. That is trace work before it is service work, and we will tell you that honestly at the outset rather than billing you for attempts.
Outside the main towns, addresses are commonly a village and a landmark. San Pedro and Caye Caulker mean a boat or a light aircraft, so an attempt there is planned around the schedule and priced once.
If your Belize address came from a company filing rather than from recent contact with the person, treat it as a starting point rather than a residence. Tell us and we will verify before attempting.
Timing, and what comes back to you
Belize City and Belmopan are usually days. The cayes depend on the boat or flight schedule. Where the work is really a trace, we quote the enquiry and the service together, in writing, before we begin.
- A court-ready Affidavit or Certificate of Service, sworn locally
- A record of every attempt — date, time, address and who was spoken to
- A description of the person served and the circumstances of the handover
- Photographs of the location where lawful and practical
- Progress updates by email or WhatsApp while the matter is live
- A reasoned report if service cannot be effected, with what we established about the true address
- A single point of contact who knows your file, start to finish
